Azimuth Stormglass™ Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Azimuth Risk Group, LLC ("Azimuth", "we") collects when you use Azimuth Stormglass (the "Service"), why, and what we do with it. It is part of the Terms of Use you accept at login.
1. What we collect
- Account details: your email address, your company and its plan, and the name you use on reports.
- Login and acceptance records: when you log in, the version of the Terms you accepted and when, and your browser type.
- Your company's property data: the properties, addresses, contacts and notes your company uploads or we load for your company.
- Use records: the pages, actions and reports used, and the internet address they came from, kept for security and to enforce the Terms.
2. How we use it
- To provide the Service to your company and show you only your company's properties.
- To send login codes and notes about the Service, such as what is new.
- To keep the Service secure, investigate misuse and enforce the Terms of Use.
- To improve the Service. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your company's property data for anyone else.
3. Who else handles it
- Service providers that run the Service for us: Supabase (database and login), Netlify (website hosting) and Resend (login emails). They handle data only to provide their service to us.
- Public and third-party data sources. When you run a lookup, the address or map location of the property is sent to the sources that answer it, such as NOAA, the National Weather Service, the Iowa Environmental Mesonet, USGS, FEMA, the U.S. Census geocoder, Google, Esri, OpenStreetMap and county parcel services. Your name and email are not sent to them.
- Where the law requires it, or to protect our rights, property or safety, including enforcing the Terms of Use.
- A buyer or successor of our business, under this policy.
4. How long we keep it
We keep account and property data while your company uses the Service, and delete it within a reasonable time after access ends and any export has been delivered, unless the law or a dispute requires us to keep it. Login, acceptance and use records are kept as long as needed for security and to enforce the Terms.
5. Security
Data is stored by our providers with encryption in transit. Each company's data is separated in the database itself, so a login sees only its own company. No system is perfectly secure; tell us at once if you believe your account was misused.
6. Your choices
You may ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or ask questions about this policy, by emailing ron@azimuthriskgroup.com. Some records must be kept to provide the Service, meet the law or enforce the Terms. The Service is for business users and is not directed to anyone under 18.
7. Changes
We will post any change here with a new date. Material changes will be presented for acceptance at your next login.
